This bike was born from a forced reduction of the fleet. Si’s bikes where, unfortunately, stolen from his house, and replacing the whole fleet in one go simply wasn’t an option. When forced to chose between his Epic, Stumpjumper and Enduro, Si chose the ultimate trail bike.
The problem was, nothings ever quite good enough for Si. After a few rides, we knew something had to be done. The new Rockshox Lyriks in Boxxer red added some serious performance and a bit of bling to the front end. A set of Stans Arch rims on DT Swiss 240s hubs where built to reduce the rotational weight and add stiffness. Onto these wheels we put a GX Eagle cassette to improve shifting and drop a large chunk of weight from the rear wheel. Last but not least, a Rockshox SuperDeluxe RC3 was sourced, with a custom tuned Vorsprung Tractive damper to achieve that suspension feeling that you always dream of but never quite acheive.
